BMW's first car, produced in 1928, was the "Dixie" Austin 7 built under licence. Since then BMW has become famous for boat and truck engines and excellent motorcycles and automobiles. This "Isetta" bubble car was made under licence to Iso Spa, the Italian firm who started the bubble car craze in 1953.
Single cylinder, 4 stroke, 68 mm bore, 68 mm stroke, 245 cc, (12 hp at 4500 rpm). Weight 349 kg.
